Shoulder Tote/Book Bags All bags sturdily constructed of two strips of fabric. The wide shoulder strap is my favorite part. All bags have an unexpectedly large capacity with a fashionable sleek style, useful as an overnight bag, book bag, purse, or even as storage. Several full bags (I can attest) can be layered on one shoulder without discomfort, due to the long strap. The style is based on bags produced by the Karen in Thailand. All are machine wash- and dry-able, and can be ironed, too.
 Light Green Cherry and Lime Shoulder Bag $8.00 (two available)
Made from a dense, lightweight fabric in pale green with limes and bright red cherries and doubled for extra sturdiness, I dream of this 13.5 inch tall by 13 inch wide bag being taken to the pool, beach, or picnic on a summer's day. The 49 inch shoulder strap can be worn on one shoulder to hang just below the hip or across the chest to sit at the waist. The high capacity bag can hold several towels or large books. A flap featuring a reversible pocket can be tucked inside to store pens or lotions, or can be used to "close" the top of the shoulder bag.

A shorter tote bag made in the style of the shoulder bags, this can still be easily slung over the shoulder. Capacity is similar to the other bags, capable of carrying several large books or supplies for an overnight trip. These also make reliable, creative storage when lined on a shelf or hung from hooks on the wall or in the closet. Store seeds for your garden, plates in the kitchen, hair accessories, or even socks. Keep as grab-and-go storage of your craft supplies, or hang over a doorknob or banister as a catch-all. The denim-colored part of this plaid fabric makes the bag neutral to go with your everyday wardrobe or a comfortable home decor. Measurements are 11 inches tall by 15.5 inches wide. The strap is 33.5 inches long. What you can't see in the picture is the decorative frayed-edge flap for giving the bag a closed look.

Embroidery decorates the seam of this smaller shoulder bag in an x-pattern. The bag measures 15 inches across and 12 inches deep. A 27-inch long strap 8 inches wide, folded in half when worn to 4 inches, has been zig-zagged for a rustic, unfinished look. Can carry three encyclopedia- sized books with room to spare. Also good for storage in a craft room, for example.
Custom Shoulder Bags $5
Standard shoulder bags require 2 yards of fabric. If the fabric is heavier, it can be one layer. Or it can be done with lighter fabric doubled. I'm up for experimenting with trim or rounding corners, making the bag wider or deeper, adding pockets, etc. You must contact me via email to

Made of progressively larger non-magnetic Hematite beads, this 14.5 inch necklace goes great with black, with denim, with almost anything. It clasps in back with a screw clasp. I hand strung these beads in a simple pattern of beads that go from 3 mm at the clasp to 8mm centered in the middle back down to 3 mm on the other side. 67 beads total. Sits just around the neck, like a choker or a little lower.

I hand strung these beads in a simple pattern of beads that go from 3 mm at the clasp to 4mm centered in the middle with an 8 mm silver-colored spacer set bead pendant. Sits just around the neck, like a choker or a little lower.

A 16 inch necklace made of progressively larger non-magnetic Hematite beads, is a more dramatic version of the classic necklace. It goes great with black, with denim, or especially with more formal outfits. It clasps in back with a screw clasp. I hand strung these beads in a simple pattern of beads 3 mm to 8mm with a simple alternating pattern at the middle. The pendant is an 8 mm bead set with a silver-colored spacer. Hangs just at collar bone or a little tighter.
